Study Pro AI ("we", "our", "us") provides a school management mobile application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and comply with Google Play policies. This document explains what information is collected, why permissions are required, and how your data is handled.
1. Permissions We Use & Why
android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Used to check network connectivity before syncing or downloading school data.
android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
Used to optimize network usage and detect if Wi-Fi is available.
android.permission.CAMERA
Used only when you explicitly choose to take a photo (e.g., profile photo, assignment upload). Camera is never accessed in the background.
android.permission.DOWNLOAD_WITHOUT_NOTIFICATION
Used for background updates of school resources (like timetable PDFs). No personal media is accessed.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE
Required for running essential tasks (notifications, uploads) reliably while the app is open.
android.permission.INTERNET
Used to connect with the school server for login, attendance, assignments, and messages.
android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Used only when you select a file/image/video through the system picker (for profile photo, assignment, or document upload).
The app does not scan or collect your gallery or media library.
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Allows scheduled notifications (like class reminders) to continue working after a device restart.
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO
Used only if you record audio notes or send voice messages. Activated only when you press record.
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK
Keeps the device awake briefly while syncing or uploading important school data.
com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE
Used to verify the legitimacy of the app installed from Google Play (anti-piracy).
com.studyproai.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION
Internal app-specific permission for secure communication between components.
2. Information We Collect
- User Data: Name, email, role (Admin, Teacher, Student, Parent).
- School Data: Attendance, grades, timetables, assignments, notices.
- Files/Media: Only the specific files or photos you upload (profile, assignments, documents).
- Device Data: Basic logs and crash reports to improve performance.
3. How We Use the Information
- Provide school services (attendance, assignments, results).
- Enable secure login and communication between teachers, parents, and students.
- Send important notifications (class timings, announcements).
- Maintain app security and license verification.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Data may be shared only with:
- Authorized school staff and parents/guardians for educational purposes.
- Trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Legal authorities if required by law.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Data is stored only as long as required by the school or law. Users may request deletion of personal data by contacting us.
6. Children’s Data
The App contains student information accessible only to authorized staff and parents. Parents may review or request deletion of their child’s data by contacting us.

We use encryption (HTTPS), secure servers, and restricted access controls to protect data.
